The process industry is going through a transformation, operating with a multi-generational workforce. As older employees transition out of the workforce, younger employees are promoted into supervisory positions. The first-line supervisory program was developed based on seven different dimensions of competency that assess new supervisors’ skill sets, and provides immediate access to courses, exercises and information based on a variety of topics to help the candidates become better, more effective supervisors.
Working with CITGO’s Learning and Development Department, Learning Sciences identified course topics and scripted, built and integrated 35 courses into a custom assessment engine and Learning Management System.
